The use of www.gcseastronomy.co.uk and CD-ROM is subject to the following terms and conditions. www.gcseastronomy.co.uk  is produced by Orbit Learning and distributed by John Cabot Ventures Limited. (referred to as "We" below). In using  our site and CD-ROM you as a user ("You") are accepting our terms and conditions.

We may at any time revise these terms and conditions without notice. Please check regularly. Continued use of this site after a change has been made is your acceptance of the change.

Summary of Permissions

You may:

  • Access the website at any time with the username and password. Your students can also access this via this method from home. There are no limits to how much this is used although this will be monitored.
  • Copy the contents of the CD-ROM to a school or college server.
  • Copy the CD-ROM for students to use at home. These copies must only be given to students attending your school or college.
  • Link to pages on the website.

You may not:

  • No material can be made freely available on a publicly accessible website
  • Use material from the CD-ROM or copied from the website and claim any authorship over them.
  • Edit any of the elements in the website including HTML, Images, Flash Animations, JavaScript and CSS.
  • Sell on the CD-ROM or elements of the website to other third parties
  • Breach copyright of any third party material on the site.
  • Load pages into framed webpages on another site; the pages must load into the user's entire window.

Expiry

Please be aware the files on the CD-ROM and username and password have a lifespan of 1 year and will no longer function correctly after the time of ordering. To carry on using the resources you must re-subscribe in order to continue Internet Access and using a new CD-ROM after that date.

The access and use of this site featuring these terms and conditions constitutes your acceptance of these terms and conditions. They take effect from the date on which you first use the password protected website and CD-ROM.

This information is stored securely. This information is also stored on back-up tapes to avoid loss of data. This information is not passed on to any third party.

1. Software trials and product registration information

Contact information such as; Your name, school name, address, email, phone number etc are stored. For product registration we will also collect a postcode and agree with you a username and password.

2. Feedback

Information collected by us is used for internal review, to improve the content of this site and to customise the content and/or layout of this site. We may also use this information to notify users about updates to this site and to contact users for marketing purposes. This information is not shared with other organisations for any purpose.

3. Site usage information (Log Files)

Log files allow us to record visitors' use of the site. We put together log file information from all our visitors, which we use to make changes to the layout of the site and to the information in it, based on the way that visitors move around it. Log files do not contain any personal information.

4. Forum user information.

This uses Cookies which store some of your preferences while you use the Forum. You can set your computer not to accept cookies. However, if you do this, you will not be able to log in and may experience difficulty requesting or registering software. While you may enter personal information to register, this is not necessary to use and contribute to the forums.
